Kyoshin-Ryu Karate showcased exceptional skills at the 2024 West Coast Championships hosted by Miladi Karate. This year, the competition was held at River Valley High School in Yuba City, CA and featured events in kumite and kata.
3 students and 1 instructor from Kyoshin-Ryu participated and brought home 5 medals! In the Novice Girls section, Pranshi took home gold in kata with strong performances of Heian Sandan.
Kevin claimed gold in the Novice Boys section with 3 great back-to-back performances of Heian Godan. He also participated in kumite, winning bronze after some hard fought matches.
For Intermediate Boys, Prithvi was unfortunately eliminated during the pool stages of kata despite a powerful display of Kanku Dai. He brought even more energy to kumite and scored multiple kicks, getting him a silver medal.

The medals won by Kyoshin-Ryu Karate Dojo students at the West Coast Championship serve as a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to the art of karate. Each medal symbolizes not only individual achievement but also the collective spirit of Kyoshin-Ryu.
